Five for Friday

It's still Friday here on the west coast so I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday.  Better late than never!

We have spent the last two weeks working on the Animals 2x2 unit from FOSS in science.  This week was mostly focused on isopods!  We observed both pill bugs and sow bugs.  The kids got to race them, too!  But sadly, I don't have a photo of the races!  #teacherfail

In the garden this week, we got to explore snails!  The kids had learned a lot about water snails during our pond unit and were excited to compare those to these garden snails.

We have a really BIG and exciting event at the end of May...our Authors' Morning!  This week, we began rough drafts of our stories that we will publish for this event.  My Kinders are SO excited and their story writing is amazing already!  They beg to work on their stories!
(I plan to blog more on the process and this event soon!)

Our spirit day this month was Rainbow Day!  Each grade level was asked to wear one color of the rainbow.  Can you guess what color Kindergarten wore?

So...this came today!  I took advantage of the amazing deal on Amazon yesterday.  Now can someone please come and show me how to use it???

Thanks for stopping by to check out my week.
Go check out Doodle Bugs Teaching and see what the others have been up to this week!
