August Currently

August!!  Seriously!?!  How is that possible!?!  At least I have Farley's Currently to cheer me up.

Listening:  My boys just tied the game!  Love my Giants!

Loving:  We always take our trip to Lake Tahoe at the end of summer.  I look forward to it every year.  I'm loving our time together as a family.  The girls are swimming like little fishies every day!

Thinking:  The one downside to vacationing late in the summer is that I always have Back to School on the brain.  I can't help it!  There's so much to do but I'm trying not to let it take over.

Wanting:  I'm on vacation.  'Nuff said.

Needing:  Ugh, construction.  I haven't been able to do anything in my classroom the last two summers due to construction on site.  I'm crossing my fingers that they are done and gone when I can get back in on the 10th.  I don't want a repeat of last year (I had to 'set up' while they continued to work, paint, build, etc in my room).

B2S RAK:  We have a new team member this year and I'd love to do something special for my girls.  I'm excited to work with the two of them this year.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Head over to Farley's blog to see what others are up to this month!

  3. Wine sounds amazing!! I hope you're able to enjoy your vacation as much as possible, it sounds like a beautiful way to rest up before kicking off a new school year!! I'm doing something for my team too. I'm putting together a little goodie back with Mr. Sketch scented markers, a multi-pack of Flair pens, a back to school literature book, and a few odds and ends to make it as awesome as possible!!
I hope you have a wonderful week and an incredible start to the new school year!

  4. Enjoy your Tahoe vacation! It's so important for us teachers to recharge over the summer. I hope you can get back into your room to set up without the construction guys around this year. Wishing you a great school year.

  5. Love Lake Tahoe, and family time can't be beat! I saw your pic on IG and thought you were at the beach, lol. Still jelly though. I just love any place with water. Room construction sounds horrible. Hopefully they will be done when you get back. I totally understand B2S on the brain. I have been up at 5am the last several days, because I can't sleep thinking of all the things I still need to get done. Enjoy the last of your vacation!
